Company Profile

Finetex Technology Inc

was founded in 2004 after a decade of research, which resulted in, a unique electrospinning process to produce nano-sacle fibers and structures that can be manufactured on a mass scale. These nano fibers and structures are used in a wide-range of applications and markets, and offer significant performance improvements over exsiting membranes, films and microfiber media.

Headquartered in the United States, with production facilities that are fully operational in Asia, Finetex has on-going expansion plans in North America and Europe. Marketing offices are located in Asia, North America and Europe to ensure strategic global market presence and support.

Finetex Technology offers what no other company can-cutting edge nano-scale product performance with mass market production capability.

Core Strength

Quality Control and EHS
Solvent electrospinning is the core competence of Finetex Technology. This technology is a solution-based fiber spinning process that was first patented in the 1930's.

The solvent electrospinning process works by introducing a polymer solution in a high electrostatic field. The electrostatic field breaks the surface tension of the polymer solution producing a jet that is attracted to the opposite electrode. In fact, the electrostatic field is so high that the liquid jet is very unstable, resulting in a whipping motion that both evaporates the solvent and stretches the polymer to create a very fine fiber. Final fiber diameters typically range from 50-500 nanometers, making them among the smallest fibers in the world.

Difficulties in process control and low production rates kept this process from being commercialized for over 50 years. During the 1990's, advancements in equipment and know-how at Finetex Technology have made industrial-scale mass production possible at rates that make our products competitive in the market.

  • Technoweb - Finetex Nanofiber Filtration Media

Finetex Nanofiber filtration media has unique properties when compared to Macrofiber or Microfiber products. A small amount of Finetex nanofibers can greatly enhance the performance of existing nonwoven or woven filter media. For high efficiency and performance applications, unsurpported membranes can also be produced with higher weight finetex Nanofiber webs.

  • Nonwoven CoatsTM

Thin nanofiber layer combined with traditional nonwoven media

  • Membrane MatsTM

Unsupported nanofiber membranes with microporous structure - can be used in single or multiple composite combinations depending on application.

The versatility of electrospinning allows an amazing amount of innovation in fiber-based materials, even at laboratory scale. However, the difficulties of industrialization of the electrospinning process are keeping many ideas from becoming reality. The laboratory scale ideas of utilizing electrospinning include for example:

  • Various medical applications
  • NBC-protection
  • Fuel cell components
  • Battery components
  • Photovoltaic/large area electronics
  • Printable electronics

Perhaps after a successful laboratory development program you are the owner of interesting intellectual property that meets a market niche. If you find yourself limited in commercialization due to inability to manufacture or high cost, Finetex Technology could be the right partner for you. Finetex Technology has unparalleled industrial electrospinning capability in terms of flexibility, homogeneity, control, and production speed. In addition, we are prepared to globally market and distribute nanofiber products if needed.

Filtration 2012, International Conference and Exposition

posted on 17 Feb, 2012 | By Mark

Finetex exhibited its wide range of nanofiber-coated filter media and other nanofiber products at Filtration 2005, which is the international conference and exposition organized by INDA in Chicago, USA on the16-17th of November, 2005. HEPA/ULPA air filter media with remarkably low pressure drop, F class nanofiber-coated filter media composed in 2 layers, and many different filter media coated with nanofiber on cellulose filter papers were given a great deal of concerns and questions by visitors. We provided the visitors with our nanofiber filter media samples for evaluation on their own applications. Besides our high efficiency filter media for air, liquid, engine, gas turbine filtration, nanofiber products for breathable fabrics & clothes, dustproof suits, cleanroom suits, medical masks and industrial wipes were also showed. Among the visitors, there were many directors from the most leading companies in filtration industry and they discussed co-operation matters with us. It was a good opportunity to show our newest and most innovative products and meet the prospective customers or partners. The first snow of the season congratulated our successful exhibition on the first day of the Exp
